Regal departing earlier then originally said for Jan sailings out of Ft Lauderdale due to "operational considerations"???

Email from Princess and Live chat was no help - our cruise in January out of Ft Lauderdale - "due to operational considerations we'll be departing at 3:30pm instead of 4pm" - What the heck are "operational considerations"???  Never had a ship leave earlier only later.

They are doing dredging work at the port, so they probably need to leave earlier due to the limits of the port.

Lots of ship traffic and those operations need to coordinate to allow windows for dredging barges to enter and leave the port.

Our 1/2/23 cruise on the Emerald is also leaving at 3:30 instead of 4:00.

Lots of stuff happens in an Operational Port.

More time on the water, and less time sitting in port!

Another thing, I am thinking that the itinerary still says leaving Princess Cays at 6:00pm.  That seems so odd, that maybe the ship will be sitting there anchored off Princess Cays until sunset.
