What to expect when sailing on Thanksgiving

I had to laugh. The younger generation at Thanksgiving weren't at all sure what my Walnut Pie was so they avoided it. I went to get pie and all of the pies were cut but mine. I took a small piece from my pie and went off to eat it. It seems that as soon as it was cut and someone had actually "tried" it the pie was fair game and quickly diminished to a single small piece sitting in the pan.  I was kind of pleased as other pies (freaking great pies!) were suddenly ignored in favor of the "weirdo pie". (Okay, I have to admit it was a really good pie.😀)

I make a walnut pie also, but I also swap maple syrup for the Karo syrup!

My wife says that sounds like a really interesting substitution! I'll likely stick with my old and trusted recipe but I would love to taste your pie!!!
