Onward Sailings Have Disappeared

Hello

we are booked on the Onward sailing from Istanbul to Athens

in October 2023, the sailing still shows in my account. But 

when I try and look for available cabins the sailing does not 

show. In fact there is only one sailing on Oct 4 from Venice 

to Istanbul. The sailing we are booked on 14 October 8 nights

Istanbul to Athens is no longer showing.

Has anyone any idea what is happening. Many thanks

I have seen comments on another forum that Onward has been chartered, the 14th October cruise still exists but with a changed itinerary, the following cruise is cancelled.

We're writing to inform you of some important changes regarding your client's 8-Night Greece Intensive Voyage scheduled to depart on October 14, 2023, on Azamara Onward.

The Azamara Onward, has been chartered by a private group which has required us to alter the dates and/or ports of call of some voyages. Theirs is among those impacted.

Their journey will now conclude in Istanbul, Turkey, and in place of the Greek islands of Chios, Rhodes, Nauplion, and Athens, we will instead make stops in Mykonos, Patmos, and Canakkale, Turkey. Rest assured, they will still have the chance to travel to some of the most breathtaking islands in the Greek Isles and end their trip in the same city where it all began: Istanbul. With more than 2500 years of history, culture, and extraordinary landmarks, they now have the option to extend their journey if they prefer to explore it at a slower pace.

it seems our sailing next year October 14 Istanbul to Athens has been chartered.The cruise now sails from Istanbul to Istanbul. Can someone on board please ask if the sailing has been fully chartered and if the sailing dates have changed.

Just my luck as I booked a reward seat to Istanbul for Oct 11 pre cruise.

As I understand it’s the cruise after yours that’s been chartered the 14th October cruise has been changed to return to Istanbul for the charter rather than Athens.

many thanks for the information I can now see the itinery on the web site

Our TA is going to call us in the morning. We really do not mind returning to 

Istanbul so will wait and see. The cost of our suite has reduced about £250

since the change so maybe we will get a bonus from AZ.
