OK, does this seem reasonable?

We had booked the least expensive inside cabin on the QE, and when I just logged on, I noticed that we were moved to Deluxe Inside.

 

We are still at least 8 months away from sailing.

 

I am happy getting a larger room however is an upgrade this far away from sailing normal?

They seem to be using a lot of insides for staff accommodation so you got lucky - we love inside deluxe

I thought staff accommodation was usually on the areas without cabin numbers?

There were yo/yo obstructed outsides closed out for singers and headline acts.

Then, again there might be unofficial “romance” staterooms for crew, but this is just a rumour 😉

Yes but since covid I think they isolate some crew in the insides - you can tell with the laundered uniform shirts hung outs side
