San Juan Sheraton

We are going on the Epic on April 2.  Looking to stay in San Juan Friday and Saturday night.  We would prefer to stay closest to the pier.  Old Sheraton San Juan or Sheraton Hotel and Casino?  Any help would be appreciated - thank you!

NCL cruises depart from the Pan American cruise terminal. The Sheraton Hotel and Casino is about a mile from the pier and the Sheraton Old San Juan is about three miles from the pier.

 

However, if you're staying for two nights I'd recommend staying in Old San Juan which has charm, old world atmosphere, many restaurants and places worth visiting especially the San Juan National Historic Site . The Sheraton Hotel and Casino serves the convention center there and the immediate area is not very interesting.

 

Even if you stay at the Sheraton Hotel and Casino you likely will be going into Old San Juan for all it has to offer, so why not stay in Old San Juan and then take what is still a very short taxi ride to the cruise pier on embarkation day.

We are staying at the Sheraton Old San Juan for two days before our cruise.  Does anyone know about how much a cab will cost to get from the hotel to the Pan American pier?  I assume we can get a cab right at the hotel or they can call to get for us?  Do we need to pay the cab driver in cash or do they take cards?

I believe we paid about $18.00..taxi's are in front of the hotel they'll hail one for you..yes use cash.

Thank you for the information ... I am just pre-cruise planning for March 2023. Friends stayed at this hotel in the past but we had stayed at the Stellaris. Wasn't sure of cost from here

I see you are from Upstate NY ... where? I am from the Capital District area.

When is your cruise? What ship .. We are in March 2023
