YVRCruiser Posted November 8, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2022 We are looking at booking flights out of Copenhagen on the same day we disembark which is scheduled for 9:00. Our same day flight options are limited and we are considering a 12:45 flight to Munich for a connection home. Is this too tight or doable? We know it is not without risks but we would prefer not to spend another night. We usually self disembark with our luggage and plan on taking a taxi. It is a Saturday if that makes any difference. Does anyone have any experience, recent or otherwise?

Nunagoras Posted November 8, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2022 In theory that could to be doable, if you self-disembark with your luggage and catch a taxi. Bear in mind though that you may be required to pass immigration in Copenhagen on your connection flight instead of or despite doing the same in Munich to exit the Schengen agreement area, that will add its time. If that is the case, I believe it is a bit risky. I believe all pax whose final destination is out of a Schengen agreement country must pass immigration at their beginning point, even if they're on a connection flight, and this is one of the few exceptions where passport control is done inside the "shared" territory. Better for you to get some more information from your TA or any of your local EU countries representatives place.
CruisingFox27 Posted November 9, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2022 We disembarked in Copenhagen, we didn't rush as we didn't want to arrive at our hotel early. But, the queue for a taxi was quite long and did take quite a while.
Preziosa Posted November 9, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2022 Leave the ship as soon as the ship is cleared. Normaly 30 minutes after arrival
Rare Stockjock Posted November 10, 2022 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2022 We embarked in Copenhagen recently. While we did a hotel for 3 nights, neither the airport nor the better areas to stay are too far from the port. We just took a taxi. If it can work out on your schedule, I do recommend spending a few days in Copenhagen, as it's a lovely city.
