Question concerning OBC

We are getting $300 OBC , but it has not shown up in our account yet, don't know how long that will take. 

 

I want to book a Regent's Choice excursion.  If I go ahead and pay for the excursion, when the OBC turns up, will it automatically be used for the excursion?

 

I know from quite awhile ago, to use this OBC I would have had to cancel the excursion and then rebook it.  I think things have been made much easier to use the OBC on excursions.  Wondering about this situation.

When I did this, Regent refunded my credit card as soon as the extra OBC came into my account.  This was about a couple of months before embarkation.
