Wine is ok to bring, how about Porto?

It would be nice to sip a nice bottle of port at the end of the night on the balcony. Technically, port is fortified wine. I wonder if they will not let me bring a bottle on? Any port lovers bring a bottle?

I believe that there's a maximum alcohol content they'll allow as "wine", and port usually exceeds that amount. A lot of the people working there probably wouldn't know the difference.

They did not even look at my wine, first step was to look at the cruise card to check I had the beverage package, once confirmed I was waved trough without further checks.
Being honest I was testing this new process back in April and I practically had to wave it under their nose to get any reaction.

You should try.  The worst they can do is confiscate it and you'll get it back at the end of the cruise.

The website isn't specific as to alcohol content. Port wine is wine, shouldn't be treated any differently.

We’ve brought on Port multiple times, zero issues except once when the guy actually looked at it, I said it’s fortified wine and that was it. They’re not sommeliers checking you in. 😉

Like you it was a delicious end to an evening so bring it along and enjoy!
