Seakers Family Cove Mystery

I noticed on the daily planner’s  OC map that Seakers Family Cove was no longer named. Once on island we found that it is roped off. The sand at the shore is very rocky looking. I asked one of the employees that lives on the island what happened. She deflected the question to another on island employee. He hemmed and hawed and finally I said, “Oh, you can’t talk about it.”  His look said yes. So I proceeded along.  
 

Does anyone know what happened?

Someone on another social media site mentioned damage to an area of OC from one of the hurricanes so maybe that was it.

We noticed it was closed as well, and then from the path we saw what looked like three small sharks or some other kind of large fish swimming together. Have been so curious what's going on in there since. Going back at the end of February. Will investigate. 🧐

@phissyI remember you posting about sea turtles at OC. Could that be why this area is closed?

Only thing I've learned from those living on in OC is one person very confident telling something then next person very confident something else is true then third person something else.
