Latest Blue Chip offer - what cabin category is being offered on Edge?

Earlier this year, I received and accepted the free cruise offer via the Blue Chip Club for a sailing on the Celebrity Solstice. At the time, I was offered any cabin in the 2B category. Now that the Blue Chip offers are including Caribbean sailings in early 2023, I'm tempted again but I'm specifically looking at the Edge itinerary and I know its cabin categories are quite different...

If anyone has booked an Edge sailing through one of the Blue Chip Club offers this year, can you let me know what cabin category you were offered? I like to do some research before calling so I know what availability is looking like in the most likely cabin class.

My BCC offer today included Edge sailings in a "Complimentary Veranda". At the bottom of the response page was a check box with this question:  Are you interested in upgrading for a small fee?

For our Solstice sailing Dec. 3rd with the BCC offer that we took advantage of back in August, we also were offered a "free" Veranda and the opportunity to upgrade to Aqua Class for $10 per person (not per day).

I'd Love to take the 10 night sailing on Edge April 7th (in a free Veranda --- h**l yeah), but unfortunately tax season doesn't end until the 15th 🙃

I assume different people got different availabilities. My offer arrived this morning and listed a total of six cruises, only one of which was Edge (March).

My email had the same six cruises as yours on the first page of email.   But under where it says book by nov. 26. It says click here     Click and it takes you to the form where you give choice 1, 2 and 3.  When you click there about 20 more selections come up.   There are two for edge in February, one for march and one for april 7

Just curious how one gets these Blue Chip offers?

If it is casino,  how much does one gamble to get the deals?

I get deals from HAL all the time for free cruises, but I have no idea how I got on their list.

Short answer - Nobody knows. Several similar threads have been posted over the last few months and there is no rhyme or reason to the offers. All we recipients have been able to determine is that, ironically,  these offers have nothing to do with gambling. Few of us, if any at all, receiving this offer, are big gamblers.

Thank you for this guidance. Caribbean cruises do not normally interest me, so I did not get to the "click here" stage. When I clicked, I did indeed see a long list of cruises. Thanks.

OK.  The same for my HAL offers.

I suppose that they are just trying to fill ships that have  below average bookings with paying customers or customers that will cover the cost of the cruise and have some potential to pay more.

I have received 4 free cruise offers, including one for 2023, and have booked 3.  One I elected a different discount to book a suite, one I booked a second full priced cabin for my kids and bought drinks and wifi, and one where I will also buy drinks and wifi for a 9 night ABC cruise.  If they were not going to sell those cabins they just got a bunch of revenue from me 🙂

I don't gamble at all but must have joined at some point.

Im not a big gambler either.   Ive received a number of free cruises.   I pay the port taxes, the gratuities, spend a few dollars onboard.   If the cabin was going to be empty, then it is a win win for me and the cruise line.   I imagine they have historical data of what percentage of cabins go unsold on certain routes on certain dates and offer accordingly.   Good marketing practice.

I think it would be a better marketing practice to also increase the number of free cruises for the higher tier gamblers.  Judging from the responses on this thread, it seems like the sudden increase in free cruises are targeted to the "lowly" Pearl members (like my son).

Higher tier gamblers are getting good offers as well.  We lowly (as you labelled us) may not spend as much on the gambling end, but we spend in other areas that are beneficial to the cruise lines profit margin.

I don't know about that, there is one CC member who is Onyx tier who posted that she was not getting any of the offers.  BTW, my adult son who has gotten at least 6 emails for BCC free cruises spends zero on board which obviously Celebrity would be aware of.

Assume these offers are cruise only.  If you call can you upgrade to AI cheaper than purchasing bev, grats and wifi individually on the cruise planner?

No perks unless one is a super high roller.

They'll sell the alcohol package at 15% off but even as a drinker, you may be able to pass on the drink package.  You get free drinks while playing and if you have CC status may be able to get free happy hour drinks.  Additionally, you can carry on 2 bottles of wine per person and perhaps charge a couple of drinks per day to your room.  Still far cheaper than paying for the drink package.

My husband and I  are 2 of those lower level gamblers who have gotten nothing. Whatever their rationale for sending the offers, I think it is pissing off people like us,  Keep sending offers to people who won't spend a minute in the casino. Great marketing🙄.

I get offers from BCC but have to phone to find out about them.  For people wondering why they are not getting offers, phone BCC at 1-866-461-7170 and ask if you have any offers under your CC number.  I just wish I could figure out the secret of how to get them sent by e-mail!

Sign up for email correspondence.   I had to do that for my husband.   He wasn't getting offers and I filled out my form using his information.   The confirmation email asked that he kindly fill out the form electing email correspondence.   I did and he started getting email offers.

I did just that a couple months ago...but still no emails.

So I just registered again for email communication.  🤞
