MSC cruises in Mediterranean

Planning a potential cruise on the MSC Grandiosa but was wondering if anyone could tell me about the onshore policy. Some reviews here mentioned passengers were only allowed off ship if they had a MSC excursion …is this still the case? Please help clarify

I believe this restriction was in place when cruises first restarted during Covid.  If any still remain they are country specific and can change overnight.  EM

No restrictions on Med cruise in October 2022 .. visiting Spain, France and Italy.

I travelled from Copenhagen to Barcelona in late September.  As mentioned, the only restriction we encountered was a requirement to wear a mask in taxis and on the bus in Barcelona.

Here's a Pro Tip about Barcelona.

At disembarkation, the line to get a taxi was almost unimaginably long.  However, we took the bus (exact change required, in Euro) to the terminal (no line) and then caught a taxi (no like) from there.  I think the cost was something like 4 Euro for the two of us, but I'd have extra cash just in case.
