New car smell that's about it.  Shows are different. Book the itinerary that fits you without worrying about the ship.  I like to check off another ship sailed on whenever we can.

Yes, shows being different is a positive.

Why?

Dining rooms lack any wow factor, we were assigned the Grande with was very nice but much prefer the 3 level open dining room. Also found the ship to have a small feeling about it. Much prefer the open Promenade feel of other ships.  Absolutely love the Oasis Class. We are in our 70s and cruise for the ship over the itineraries.

Different MDR layouts as already mentioned.

Anthem second pool is indoor, second pool on Odyssey is outdoor.

Anthem has Jamie's, Odyssey has Giovanni's Italian Kitchen.

Anthem has Concierge Lounge, Odyssey has Suite Lounge.

Anthem has Johnny Rockets, Odyssey has El Loco Fresh.

Anthem has outdoor Windjammer seating.

Odyssey has Teppanyaki.

Odyssey has The Lime & Coconut.

Odyssey has Skypad (previously mentioned).

Perfect.  Just what was looking for.  Where is Johnny Rockets?  I really liked Giovanni's Italian Kitchen.

JR on Anthem is the same location as El Loco fresh on Odyssey (deck 14 starboard aft pool deck).

Note that JR on Anthem is a la carte, not a cover charge.

Having been on both, agree Odyssey has the "new car smell". It was my first Quantum class ship and I loved it. Playmakers, El loco fresh pluses in my book.

Not a fan of either Jamie's Italian or Giovanni's, but YMMV.

We are in NY, so Anthem is our closest ship, so we will be on her more often.

Yeah, not a huge fan of the MDR on Anthem, but like the outdoor WJ seating.

Either is a good choice.

Same location as Odyssey (in the SeaPlex annex in place of pong pong and Xbox)?

Yes. Last time on the Anthem, none of the Xboxes worked. I think they're tired of fixing them. Might as well turn it into something that makes money. Plus there's ping pong on the other side of the SeaPlex.

Totally agree about Oasis class ... Quantum is like being in a 1950s holiday camp !

I heard that during Anthem's next drydock, they'll add in Playmakers.

While that seems like a minimal investment, not sure RCI is willing to spend even that much above the min required during drydocks, though that may change by the end of 2024.
