Be careful booking online

Well, i did a very stupid thing. I somehow managed to pay the full balance on my cruise instead of a 1.00 deposit! I ‘m still not sure how i did it, i think my card initially didn’t work so i was bounced to my account and i must just not have paid attention. The good news is i contacted my cruise consultant and she was able to take care of that today and get me the refund. She says refund could take 15-20 days. Is that true? In any event, my visa statement doesn’t close until dec 23rd so fingers crossed the refund comes through by then. Anyways, just pay attention! And i would recommend contacting your cruise consultant instead of main line but this is my first experience with this.

I did that as well.  You can always cancel and rebook again.  Hopefully the credit on your visa comes before you have to pay it.  I didn’t bother but they told me I could.

Oh that is too bad. But you should get your refund faster I think. I cancelled a cruise a few weeks ago and got my refund in 5 days (including the weekend so 3 business days really).

Refunds that stem from standard cancellations ARE coming through fairly quickly. We got ours in just under a week. It’s when human intervention is involved that you need to rely on divine intervention.

When you get to the payment screen, the default is to pay the full amount.  Yes, you need to pay very close attention to what you're clicking when so much money is (potentially) involved.  The same thing happens when you go in to just make a payment...the full remaining balance shows in the amount to pay field.

Thanks. I’ll definitely be more careful next time and i won’t be too hopeful my refund arrives in a timely manner.
