Blue Chip Club Long Phone Wait Time

I have been trying to call the Blue Chip Club (1-866-461-7170) for several days and the wait has always been way over an hour with no answer.  They also don't seem to respond to E Mails.  I have been trying to get confirmation on a time for a Roll Call Slot pull with no success.  The cruise is 9 days away on the Solstice.  It is very frustrating because I have other things to do prior to this cruise.  I booked a discounted cruise NET 60 through them a couple of weeks ago with almost no wait time but when it was posted to the X site the amount owed was wrong.  That cruise is some time out but if I were leaving soon that would be a problem that I would need some help with right away.  I wonder what is going on with them.  Does anyone else have the same problem or any ideas about contacting them?

I've called 3-4 times this week with less than a 5 minute wait, so not sure the issue. Of course, I was calling about a new booking so that may make a difference. Maybe select that option and see if the person who answers can help?

The few slot pulls that I have participated in have been set up with the Casino Host after we all got on board the ship.  I don't think the person on our roll call who organized the slot pull did any emailing with Celebrity or BCC beforehand.

So you can pick out a date/time that you want to have the slot pull with your roll call before the cruise starts and then talk to the Casino Host after you get on board to finalize the time.  If the date/time is different than what you originally planned, you will have to communicate this either thru the roll call or some other means.

Excuse the pun, calling the Casino dept is a total crap shoot.  Seems like they have folks answering the phone who are unable to do anything, they put you on hold and seemingly have an actual employee book.  Also, many times there seems to be like a 10 second delay which is really annoying

Thanks for the replies.  I will try again.  I was advised by a semi famous CC Slot Pool host and CC group entertainer that it was wise to contact the Casino in advance.  He set up our recent Slot Pull on the Summit. Some of us do not continue checking in with the Roll Call after boarding and we did not ask for cabin numbers on the sign up sheet so changing the planned time and date might be tough.

This was a sort of last minute idea and I wanted to make sure there was enough interest before proceeding so that is why I am under a time crunch. This is my first time as the planner of a slot pull but I have often participated.  We just wanted a little event to meet the roll call members and mingle for some fun on board.

I've set up several slot pulls on prior cruises. When I reached out to both Blue Chip and Captain's Club I was told to make plans directly with the Casino Host after boarding the ship. The hosts were always accommodating with our groups and in all instances we were able to hold our slot pull on the day and time we selected with our roll call group. Did you choose a late morning or early afternoon sea day for your slot pull? As long as you didn't schedule during prime casino time you should be fine. Save yourself the pre-trip anxiety trying to set this up ahead of time. Just go visit the Casino Host at some point the evening of embarkation day. Tell your roll call that you'll post confirmation on the roll call as soon as you can. Either that or they can just show up at the agreed to date/time and hope nothing changed.

I was on hold for about 90 minutes when I called on Tuesday morning.  I was calling about an existing booking, so I pressed #2.

It is so frustrating.  I also had long, long wait times when I pressed #2.  So I tried #1 and said they could not help me, so they transferred me.  Yes, they did to #2.  Another long wait.

I called two days ago and waited over one hour when I pressed #2.  Then another 45 minutes with a representative.  Trying to do dinner reservations for Select Dining.  She did a few for me but did not save them.  Then she did them again and I could not get the times I wanted.  X has a serious problem.

That is correct.  For our 14 day cruise, I approached the Casino Hostess on Day 2 and made arrangements with her for the slot pull to take place near the end of the cruise.

For new bookings, there is little hold, because it appears that that they were outsourced or to people who work from home.  For #2, it goes back to "corporate" and the wait is super long.  I had spoken to #2 several times in the past but this week, I was on hold for more than 2 hours before I hung up each time.  I was trying to buy a beverage package and in the end, I booked through the website.  Trying to save a few dollars is just not worth the angst.

I called last week 4 times(both #1 and #2 - gave each a shot) and waited at least 1-1/2 hrs.  Just put it speaker.  The rep was able to help except for a question regarding Blue Chip promotional and each time I was given a different answer.  I do not understand why they prefer to annoy their clients with long wait times.

I just called the Blue Chip Club. I was not put on hold; my call was answered immediately. I was calling about booking a new cruise.

You are very lucky, you should head to the closet Casino ASAP.  I got frustrated yesterday and called #1 just to see if it was answered quicker than #2, after two hours on hold I got the answer that I would have to talk to the Casino Manager after I boarded the ship.  Hopefully it will all work our for the slot pull as planned.  I think many who want a new booking will be giving up if service does not improve.
