Are umbrellas provided on NCL ships?

I asked in First-Time Cruisers whether we should bring umbrellas and was told to ask here because some lines provide them. We are sailing to Bermuda on the Gem in January & it might be rainy there that time of year, so does anyone know if we'll need to bring our own?

We are in an Oceanview unless our upgrade bid gets accepted, so not one of the fancy rooms. 🙂

No umbrellas in Oceanview, balcony or club balcony (which are your upgrade options). There may be umbrellas up in the Haven suites, but they are big golf umbrellas,,, and you probably want something that folds.

Bermuda might get the occasional passing thru showers, usually not downpours and you are free to buy those disposable rain poncho, sold at the gangway - for your convenience - was most recently priced at $3 USD each ... stores at nearby Dockyard (Clock Tower Malls) and in the city /downtown & on the East End (St. George's) will have them out for sale, similarly priced.

In April we traveled to Bermuda in one of the "fancy" rooms 😉 and didn't have an umbrella. It rained almost the entire three days we were there. Never thought about taking an umbrella offboard. We just got wet. It was warm enough to not care a whole lot. January might be a wee bit cooler though, but not as nippy as the plains. Enjoy your respite from the cold Dakota winter!
