Are we going to like the Navigator? Too young?

We just turned 60 and we are night owls. We like to drink, dance, regular and ballroom.

We have sailed over 60 cruises mostly with NCL and MSC. We like Haven and Yacht club.

We recently booked a 42 night Oceania cruise and are looking at a 25 night on the Navigator but the videos I have seen don't appear to have much or any entertainment late into the evening or wee hours of the morning.

Is the casino even open late?

I know shore excursions are included but do they have any high level or extreme ones? Hiking, kayaking, Scuba, UTVs,ATVs, sailing, jet skiing,or zip lining?

Can you please enlighten us.

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve...I'm probably the "average Regent demographic", and I was exhausted just reading your post...I'm going to lay down for a nap right now!  Best Regards.  🤪

My experience on the Navigator for 130+ days….the ship is delightfully small and is pretty quite late night. It is our favorite ship. We are on the Splendor now and it is a little big for our taste. But others may have more information on after dinner activities. We are not night owls.

As for tours, there are all levels from simple bus tours to scuba diving if available like at our stop in Aruba. There is also a chance to do a ATV trip ( you do the driving, we are doing that) on our current cruise. I have seen sail zip lining and kayaking in many ports.

We are also 21 (plus 39) and whilst not too bothered about the night life we do like active daytimes. Our upcoming Caribbean cruise has us doing horse riding, kayaking, hiking in the rain forest, river tubing, ATV riding. There was also an America's cup excursion and zip lining on offer. My husband likes to take his mountain bike on our cruises so he can do a quick 40 or 50 km ride before lunch  but not this time 😂😂

we always look for the excursions with at least 2 (moderate) but preferably 3 (strenuous) walking people on each trip description.

Really depends on itinerary.  Port intensive cruises with all day excursions tend to wear folks down somewhat and suppresses late night activities in preparation for the next full day of activities. Cruises with more sea days tend to have the opposite effect on late night activities. Just my observations.

Ok, 63 old night owl here  just wrapped up the annual family and friends Christmas party.  40 folks and I have a blast, but I’m still awake!  Regent does get a bit quiet after 11:30,  but there are normally a few of us, still ready to dance and drink and have fun.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

We can definitely live with a jukebox.

We are going to try it.

Steve

Regent is lovely.  You will be totally spoiled for any other cruise line.
