Suzcruz75 Posted December 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2022 Hi All we are considering booking for our 2025 transpacific cruise whilst onboard in March, however looking at the next cruise offer it appears you only get the OBC value equivalent to a 4/5 night cruise not for the 16+ Nights the actual cruise is. Any ideas why this is so? It’s not as if the cruise is any cheaper than others it’s the most expensive cruise they do in Australia/New Zealand. We booked a 6 night cruise recently and got $150 OBC extra and looks like we would get less than that booking transpacific
wrk2cruise Posted December 4, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2022 It's considered a repositioning cruise. These sailings used to be cheap but not anymore. Every once in awhile a particular sailing is not coded right and they will give you the regular amount. But I'm sure if the sailing name has Trans...... in it you will only get the reduced amount. The sailing name is Tahitian Treasures, no mention of transpacific in the cruise title, maybe I will be lucky 🤞

Beachlover1989 Posted December 4, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2022 Same this for us as well. Do you know how much in Shareholder OBC they give for these? The regular $250 for 14+ nights? Or just $100??
Rare mahdnc Posted December 4, 2022 #6 Share Posted December 4, 2022 We recently booked a Transpacific (not Tahitian Treasures) and a Panama Canal cruise using our Future Cruise bookings. Both received the paltry $100 OBC for our veranda cabins. I was a little surprised about the Panama Canal sailing.

We did a transpacific in 2019 and that is what we got.

The amount is invested by the boss (Anita) in the casino.
Beachlover1989 Posted December 7, 2022 #9 Share Posted December 7, 2022 Reporting back - I applied for the Shareholder OBC for the Transpacific on Sunday and received the new Booking Confirmation this afternoon with the additional $250 OBC - yay!
wrk2cruise Posted December 7, 2022 #10 Share Posted December 7, 2022 I applied for 3 sailings using the online method. It was applied to 1. So a week later I submitted the other 2 by themselves. Within a couple of days I got a response "Booking not eligible". There is nothing strange about these bookings other than they are summer of 2024. I emailed asking for clarification of the reason they weren't eligible. Within an hour I got a request for some details which I provided. 4 days have gone by without a response. When I was on the Equinox in October I went to future cruise desk and they only offered 50 obc. I didn't book but booked when I returned at a better price. I think in its FAQ's it says to apply 30 days before but in reality it just seems to depend on who opens your email. We always submit each cruise separately and have never been refused. In May we decided to stay on Silhouette for a second cruise and booked just 48 hours before the first cruise ended. Applied for Shareholders immediately and it was on our new booking within 6 hours.
