donnas902 Posted December 15, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 15, 2022 This is my first European cruise. airfare is definitely cheaper through cruise line. What has your experience been with transatlantic flights through NCL? Thanks in advance.
Rare FlyerTalker Posted December 15, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2022 If you have specific questions, you are more likely to get specific answers. And if you have NCL specific questions, posting on the NCL board may be more productive.
waterbug123 Posted December 15, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2022 Just be aware that unless you pay extra, the cruiseline is going to book you to fly in the morning the cruise sets sail and there is inherent risk in that. Yes, they'd be responsible for getting you caught up to the ship at the next port or whenever it was feasible to do so, but you'd still potentially miss part of your cruise if you were delayed. We were on a flight this past summer that was severely delayed and ultimately canceled, at which point it was too late to rebook anyone to leave that same evening. There were apparently a lot of people on our flight who had a cruise the next day and missed embarkation.
WatchHill Posted December 21, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2022 If NCL is using TAP for your BOS to LIS flight, then it's an early evening flight, 7:10 pm out of Logan, arriving LIS 5:35 am. TAP uses Terminal C at Logan not Terminal E, the international, for its departures. Arrivals are through TE. That's the flight we booked for our March '23 cruise with Azamara, arriving a few days pre-cruise to adjust to the time difference and explore the city and beyond.
