But sometimes I change my mind IN the elevator on which deck I want to go. Now what. 😄

By the way, the “well behaved children” can now press all buttons from the outside, without even entering the elevator. So let's see if the new buttons are a benefit.

That’s why I love TA’s and long cruises when the kids are in school. Loved to cruise when the kids were young but now I’m retired and enjoy an adult cruise!

The private cabana deck on deck 9 is only accessible for Reserve Cabana mini suite guests, not for all mini suites or cabana suites. I think this private deck will not be too crowded.

Is available to all Reserve Cabana mini-suites, so 39 cabins assuming port side cabins are only allowed access to the port side deck and starboard cabins to the starboard deck.

UPDATE:  It is confirmed that the “soft serve” being offered on the pool deck (Deck 17) is a PREMIUM type of soft serve and is chargeable for everyone.

Wow! "Premium" soft serve. I'm intrigued. Must come from only the most refined cows! 😄

Any word on when they plan to open Love by Britto?

I spoke with the Director Of Restaurant Operations yesterday.  I asked when this venue might open because it looks to be complete (see photo).  He couldn’t give a date as they are still waiting for things needed for the actual operation, and some requested changes from those in charge of “the experience”.

It is a small intimate venue, but it doesn’t look very impressive considering what the cost will be.  Hopefully, the type and quality of the food will make up for it.  You do have a wonderful view though.

I’m imagining one of those “well behaved children” pressing every single button for every elevator without ever getting one on when no one is around.

It’s not just kids, though. Last year on Discovery Princess, so many times I saw adults hit buttons, wait for a minute, then take the stairs. It made the elevators stop on every floor almost every time. They should use medallion proximity to cancel when people walk away.

I was on Disney Wish last summer and the elevator experience was sooooo much smoother. Elevator efficiency is a big deal if you move around a lot. That’s really been my only Princess inconvenience so far.

Unless you are in the circular banquet behind that huge column!🙃

The color scheme is awful, unless the photo is a bit off. A bit too “bordello”.

Do they play Disney music in the elevators like in the theme parks? (serious question)

People often comment about kids pushing all the elevator buttons. But somehow I have never seen or experienced it. Seems like a bit of an urban myth. (Can a myth be “urban” if it pertains to a ship?)

Has anyone seen a deluxe balcony with a large balcony?

And know the cabin or deck?

(Not a cabana)

I wish those with photos or videos could mention the deck area or cabin number.

This is my Category “DB” Deluxe Balcony Stateroom #16417.  It is in the sphere.  Here is the balcony.IMG_0816.thumb.jpeg.7df91ad6e64b13e0f4c84f59dd3b40fd.jpeg

I don’t even remember. If they did, it was quiet or it would have driven me crazy.

For an adult who isn’t Disney-crazy, there was nothing better about that ship (and it was a new ship) than the Discovery Princess other than the elevator experience. Now my nephews would probably have disagreed!

I was disappointed in the food, but probably bc the Discovery Princess’ food was top notch, especially the international dishes.

Well done!  Large. Sufficient shade. Some sun peeking through by the rail. All good features.

100% true. That’s not a huge deal to me or my wife, though we do usually spend and hour or two in one when the ship has one…and the Sun has a huge one!

Is there a spot for a future 360 dining experience? Does anyone see a circle on the deck plan not being used yet? That's how we knew where it was on Discovery and Enchanted.

Or do we have to make do with 360 being only on Discovery and Enchanted?

No 360 experience on the Sun.

Seeing no stairs in the piazza any longer, I guess that means the elevator to get from one floor to the other for the piazza???

There are staircases connecting Decks 7, 8 and 9 of the Piazza.  They are along the outside of the area that is shown in everyone’s photos.

There is even an inside version of the “skywalk” that is found on the Royal Class ships.  Here is a photo of it IMG_0817.thumb.jpeg.4f8ee5383ca2a23de5ca4e6b7ec2968e.jpeg

Can someone give a definitive answer to the following, I know MDR deck 8 has an  American style menu that does not change day to day.

is the menu on MDR deck 6 and 7 the same and does it change every day?

The menu on deck 6 and 7 of the MDR are the same, and they do change daily.  In fact,  I was pleasantly surprised to find that the breakfast menu in the MDR, has a lot more options than on the other ships in the rest of the fleet.

As for deck 8 of the MDR.  It is now being referred to in he Princess Patter as the “American Diner”. It is open daily from 10AM to 3PM, and then from 6PM to 10PM.  Reservations are NOT available, and walk-in only.

For those of you currently onboard, taking the time to post information, your feedback, photos, videos. We all really appreciate it.

Despite the hiccups, I hope you all still have a wonderful cruise. You all deserve it.
