Looking to independent tour from Melbourne ship dock. Would like to see koalas and penguin march.

Unless you are in Melbourne overnight, you will not see the penguin 'march' as it occurs at dusk at Phillip Island, at least a two hour trip away and you would not return to Station Pier until close to midnight. You may have to meet a tour in the city area at a hotel pickup. If you can arrange it, Healesville Sanctuary at Healesville, about 90 mins drive from Station Pier is the place to see koalas and other Australian wildlife. Please note koalas are pretty much nocturnal so you may only see them up a tree asleep.

Depending on what time you arrive in Melbourne may limit your choice of excursions.

Tour to Healesville

Perhaps contact the company in the link above and see if they have anything suitable.
