Northern Aurora Posted December 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2022 Yes — Lobster night still occurs. If you have signed up for a 11:30 boarding time you will board at 11:30. Current embarkation process is that your seapass cards are left in the mail slot outside the stateroom door. They are no longer handed to you by cruise terminal staff. Now once you board you go directly to your stateroom to deliver your carry-on bags and put valuables in your safe. If the cabin attendants are still preparing your stateroom there will be a magnetic sign on the door with words to the effect that perfection is in progress but you are free to drop off the carryons. hrhdhd Posted December 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 24, 2022 11:30 is your port check-in time. You may or may not board precisely at 11:30. If the ship is not ready for passengers, you'll wait in the terminal. Once the ship is ready for boarding, they'll let groups on and you'll board after those who arrived before you.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted December 25, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 25, 2022 They still have lobster on the second Chic night. At least earlier this month on Solstice, there was no restrictions on a second lobster and was offered instead of being requested by our waiter, we requested only one as we are not big eaters. Boarding by groups may depend on the port. At Southampton once your docs are checked you walk straight on to the ship - boarding time on our last 4 cruises post Covid 15 minutes from arrival at the terminal to bring in our standard balcony cabin.
