Free drinks in the casino?

Good morning!

I became cruise-obsessed after our first on Royal almost a year ago. Since then, we've been on Carnival and Uniworld, too – loved them both! But my fiance and I just booked a last-minute cruise on the Silhouette to celebrate our anniversary this week!  I am getting so excited after reading these boards, so thanks to everyone for your awesome insight, pictures, and more!

On Carnival, we enjoy having a cocktail and playing slot machines for 20-30 min. before we head to dinner. I got free drinks because of being in the casino club, and they always extend it to both of us (probably because I would tip $5-$10 each time, haha) However, I haven't been able to get clarity on whether or not drinks in the casino are free while playing on Celebrity? We opted to skip the drink package this time. Thanks in advance!

Yes, Celebrity is one of the few cruiselines that have provided free drinks while playing in the casino. You have to be ACTIVELY playing meaning your key card is in a slot machine or you're at a table game and you order from a waiter. It's a limited drink menu, meaning your basic well drinks and nothing fancy or top shelf liquor.

On the last couple of Celebrity cruises we have been on there have been free drinks in the casino when you are playing.  I think higher level players probably can get free drinks at the bar.  If you have casino status on Carnival, you might want to see if Celebrity's Blue Chip casino club would accept transfer status.  I know that there are some comp sites that help you transfer status from land casinos and other cruise lines. Enjoy.

I'm not a big gambler and also not a drinker, but while playing some slots with OBC I've always had someone come up to me and ask if I would like a drink.   The have never been asked my Blue Chip status, which by the way is Pearl.

Yes, the company that works directly with Celebrity and Royal is URCOMPED.COM. In fact several months ago when Blue Chip Club had that big comped cruise offer to non gamblers Urcomped help with fulfillment of all the requests.
