Allure Specialty Dining Question

Recommended Posts

On Allure Feb 5 for the first time and having dined in specialty restaurants on other RC ships am curious on others' thoughts on how they compare on the Allure? I know this is subjective based on the chefs, servers, and peoples' likes but any thoughts would be appreciated.

Our family has done two sailings on the Allure, during the summers of 2021 and 2022.  By far our favorite on the Allure was 150 Central Park - great staff and great food.  Enjoyed it better than on the Oasis.  Giovanni's and Chops were both very good.  We enjoyed the outdoor seating for Giovanni's on both sailings.

We'd pass on the Brazilian steak house, Samba, that took over the Solarium Cafe spot in the evenings.

Enjoy the sailing!

Most of the Allure's specialty dining is the same restaurants you find in the rest of the fleet, but there is one notable exception that we never miss: Samba Grill. It's located in the Solarium Bistro and only open for dinner. It's a Brazilian steakhouse where they come around to your table with all-you-can-eat meats that they shave directly onto your plate (similar to the Fogo de Chao chain, if you've been there.

They also have a Mexican place, Sabor, but it's never been better than just so-so in my experience. Those are the only two that are somewhat unique.

That being said ... probably my favorite place to eat on ANY ship is 150 Central Park.

We really enjoyed Samba. It does take a strategy to pace yourself, but we really enjoyed the experience and the various meat options. The salad bar and sides were good but you don't go there for that!

Also agree with the prior post, 150 Central Park is probably the best restaurant on board. Always a fantastic experience and great service. The Chateau for two is our go-to!

Izumi is also very good both hibachi and table dining.

Agree with Sabor. It's not our favorite, but it's a good alternative for lunch or a snack after a port day.
