GeoGeo Posted January 13, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2023 I did a Book Later Reservation at the NextCruise desk on the Symphony last November. I have picked my cruise and I want to book it before my 2 months expire. BUT, the phone number RCI gave me on my receipt does not work. (9997654323) I have called from my cell phone and my Magic Jack, with and without a 1 in front of the number. Either way, I receive a message immediately that my call cannot be completed as dialed. When I look up area code 999, I am told that it is reserved for future use and there are no phone numbers in that area code. Given the quality of information on the Internet, that might be old information that is no longer valid. After a long hold, I reached a regular RCI agent on the RCI Customer Service number and he could not help with the non-working number, but he was able to book my cruise using the NextCruise deposit. smokeybandit Posted January 13, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2023 The only time I did a Book Later (last year), the number on the receipt was 800-859-7225
Ken at the beach Posted January 13, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2023 Any of the agents either on the regular line or the C&A line can convert the next cruise booking to an active sailing.
nelblu Posted January 13, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2023 Funny, I'm not sure where they get these telephone # that are printed on the certificate and like you I booked thru the C&A desk and asked the agent if he can identify the number. He came back a few minutes later and no clue. Tele # on my certificate is 305.982.2694. Tried a few times as I figured that I made an error. Each time there was no Royal greeting and kept asking for an access #. Area code is a Florida/Miami.
Rare twangster Posted January 13, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2023 (edited) If the cruise you were on when you purchased the Book Later certificate was booked through a travel agency their phone number appears on the Book Later email. The Book Later certificate has probably already been assigned to that travel agency so you may or may not be able to call Royal directly. No, my normal travel agency is in New Hampshire and area code of 603. Plus, no indication of a specific business. In addition, the cruise that I was on was booked via Casino Royale desk. If you booked through Casino Royale then that is likely a number associated with Casino Royale for internal tracking purposes.

You may be right, but no greeting--just asking for an access code. The C&A person could not identify that number. Also, the Casino Royale desk is 888.561.2234 Edited January 13, 2023 by nelblu
Rare twangster Posted January 14, 2023 #9 Share Posted January 14, 2023 Just an FYI. I converted a Book Later cert between Xmas and New Years. I hadn't seen any OBC added so I called tonight and they added it manually. Easy peasy. Keep any eye on your booking after you convert it. My OBC is now showing up in the cruise planner. It is "supposed" to be applied automatically within 7 to 10 days but I find myself having to call more often than not.
