edinburgher Posted January 15, 2023 #27 Share Posted January 15, 2023 (edited) There are also a number of museums and attraction in the city. We have visited MARQ (Archaeological Museum).and it is worth checking their website to see listings of any temporary exhibitions which might also coincide with your visit in addition to getting ideas from Tripadvisor etc. And on another occasion (at a weekend I think) there was a triathlon going on at the waterfront and that was quite fun to watch so also check Alicante events around your date. the wandering two Posted January 16, 2023 #30 Share Posted January 16, 2023 Just off Iona, 3rd time in Alicante & as we had walked to the castle both times previously decided to do something different. Took the tram from Plaza de Los Luceros €1.45 each way to the Roman ruins at Lucentum, one of the MARQ museum sites €3 each. Well worth doing & still had enough time back in town for a few tapas & drinks. Got lucky with the Ocean Race 2023 event starting that day (January 7th) so would certainly look at the Ocean Race Museum for next time.

Rare Harters Posted May 19, 2023 #33 Share Posted May 19, 2023 We're in port between 10.00 & 17.00 I've worked out a walking tour of the city centre (using gpsmycity.com) and we'll do that followed by lunch. Restaurant for that booked - they specialise in "arroz" (which is what they locally call paella)
