Rare EllieinNJ Posted January 16, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2023 There is a promotion on that says if you purchase $500 you can get 20,000 fun points which can be converted into a statement credit of $200. Does this $500 have to be a Carnival product or for any purchase? I did read the T&C but it was not clear to me. Is this a good promo or do they have better promos? Last year my husband got $250 taken off when he applied for it right at the booking.
dallasdan Posted January 16, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2023 When I did the credit card last year it had to be Carnival. We paid off a cruise for around $600 and received the statement credit a month or so later. Seemed pretty quick on the credit.
scpirate Posted January 17, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2023 No it can be anything. I got the card 3 months ago and made a large purchase of batteries for my golf cart and easily met the $500 .. I received the ,$200 credit. After that with the Carnival price increases I went ahead and paid my cruise and gratuities off since my wife finally decided she did want to cruise again. So it does not have to be carnival related.
Normajean999 Posted January 18, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2023 I just got the card a couple weeks ago. I called CS and they said a purchase from ANYWHERE of ANY amount will trigger the $200 credit. I did however use it to pay for wifi and gratuities.
Rare BoozinCroozin Posted January 18, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2023 There are far better travel cards than this one. If you are getting a card for rewards, I would definitely look elsewhere.

I use my Chase Reserve for most everything else. I have several other cards that earn varying amounts of rewards on too.
