Allure of the Seas - Galveston Port Question

My husband and I have the drink package, but I read a footnote that says drinks are limited while in port due to TABC regulations and full service does not take effect until we are in international waters.  Will we still be able to get wine or beer before sail away?   Liquor?   I've been doing dry January,  but all bets are off once I board the ship!

You will be able to get wine, beer and liquor. It's just a smaller selection of brands.

They will have brands like Bacardi, Jack Daniel’s and beers like Bud, Bud Light, Shiner Bock, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra

Yes it's true. We sail out of Galveston. Plenty of choices available.  Full Bar opens at the point you're 12 miles out and reach International Waters.]

Here's a bar list of what may/should be available available until you reach the 12 mile mark.

I had a favorite Reisling wine I had to wait until after 7 pm to get when I went last Dec. but I'm sure you'll find something you like to drink. Have fun on your cruise.

I do suggest the Gulf Coast Departures thread, full of parking info, but I'm partial to the North parking lot reserved the Port of Galveston web site.  You're in your car and down the road before others find their shuttle bus.

North lot of the port. It does fill up so book a ways before.
