Iona Fjords Hoven Cable Car excursion cancelled

Hi, just been notified our booked P and O excursion has been cancelled to Hoven Cable Car in April, no reason given. Anyone can advise if we can do this ourselves and how we go about it?

If it is the Loen skylift (above post)

 A bus goes to it from the ship

The Skylift has limited normal capacity of about 350 people in each direction per hour with 35 people per car. A 5000 passenger ship could be too much, especially if there is another one nearby as it was last summer.

The lift often closes for one week in April for maintenance. It may be that P&O have been informed of this already.

On another site people on other months on Iona have confirmed their excursion has been cancelled.

Can’t help then I’m afraid. Excursions aren’t really my expertise.

Thanks for comments. I might book direct on the web including the shuttle as it can be cancelled up to 24 hours beforehand, so I might know more about what’s going on then.
