NFL Playoff Games - Can we see the. Onboard?

We sail Saturday on Splendor.  The Philadelphia Eagles play the Giants at 8:15PM.  Will the game be televised?

You probably won't find out until you're on the ship.  A couple of years ago we saw the Super Bowl on an Oceania cruise approaching New Zealand.

Currently on the Explorer (NZ) and all four wildcard weekend games were shown live in our cabins, live in the Explorer Lounge and then each game was replayed once.  I don't know if Regent did this because we missed a number of ports but bottom line is that the technology is definitely there if they choose to do so.  (They do have to pay some kind of licensing right to broadcast).

EAGLES going to the Super Bowl!   Now I am even more hopeful that it will be shown in the ship; a nice Super Bowl party!

I'm trying to remember if there are big screens in any of the lounges of the ships I've been on.. I don't think so?

The games yesterday and the previous weekend were televised in our suites.  Movies are shown in the Constellation Theater, so in theory the Super Bowl could be shown there.

 

They have two weeks to plan for showing it in the theater.  They should make it happen...along with typical tailgate snacks.  It would be a much better venue than relegating us all to our suites.

Last cruise we did on Explorer there was a Super Bowl night, food and snacks with game shown in theatre.
