lucas34 Posted January 20, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2023 Hi, I have been thinking about Sky Princess' Norway and Iceland cruise in the summer. The last time I cruised on Princess was 1992 on Star Princess in the Black Sea. Does Princess still have cabin cleaning twice a day? Is the buffet coffee etc. free 24 hours a day? What drinks does it include (ice tea?)? Can I take one bottle of wine per person on board the ship? Is it possible to post a gala dinner menu and a list of cabin service breakfasts, etc.? What is the cheapest way to travel to Southampton from London?

Drinks included are water, iced tea, lemonade during lunch on the lido, orange juice during breakfast, as well as you'll find little smoothie drinks during breakfast at International Cafe and the lido, in the MDR you can get milk, juices, hot cocoa, tea, and coffee. Yes you could take one bottle of wine per person on the ship. Southampton to London you can either take the Princess Cruises bus transfer, or you could take the train which would be the cheapest route versus like getting a cab. Can't help with most of your questions, but this one I can answer - the cheapest would be the national express coach (though I'd book a train in advance which wouldn't be a lot more expensive)

We are on this cruise, first time on Princess. We were advised by another traveler who lives in the UK that the National Express was a good choice. It was quite inexpensive and we paid an extra $5 each to be able to take a later coach should our plane be delayed. We are arriving a couple of days in advance, so the Princess transfer was not an option, but it seems the National Express is cheaper than their transfer. If you book a train, be sure to check the schedule and transfers. We will be taking the train from Southampton to Paris after the cruise and our TA has advised we will need to make 2-3 transfers between Southampton and London and then a straight shot from London to Paris. Island2Dweller Posted January 20, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2023 "We will be taking the train from Southampton to Paris after the cruise and our TA has advised we will need to make 2-3 transfers between Southampton and London" Not quite. The train from Southampton to London is direct and reasonably fast. But it arrives into Waterloo station whereas Eurostar departs from St Pancras station. The transfers only come into play if you choose to use the underground to get between stations - you may prefer to do that hop (about a mile and a bit) by taxi
