Two person tables in Summit main dining room

Looking at a ship tour on Youtube, it appears that two person tables on the Summit are lined up about 4 inches from the next 2 person table. So it would offer no privacy and not be truly an individual table. Is this correct or was I just seeing an isolated example?

Yes, they are pretty close together. Technically they are individual tables for two.  Most times we exchange brief pleasantries with our neighbours and then everyone continues to pretend they are alone.  LOL  We don't usually hear the other conversations though.  We manage to maintain our little world of two.

Great two tops, deck 4, aft, by the huge bay window. We were on the next row from those tables. Two top, two top, four top, two top and two top. We had the four top all to ourselves for the entire 12 nights.

Visit the MDR desk when they aren't busy and explain your preference. If they are able to accommodate your request for a private table for 2 then they will do so. We've had a 2 top with plenty of room between us and the next table, next to the railing on deck 5. We also noted those deck 4 tables that davekathy just mentioned. However, one of our favorite cruises was our most recent one where we were seated in one of those 2 tops in a row with 3 other 2 tops. We had such a blast with our table abutters that by the end of the cruise we were meeting each night for pre-dinner drinks and are still in touch.
