cruiseforus Posted January 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2023 We are thinking of booking the Summit to Bermuda in July. On our last cruises on RCCL we booked unlimited dining because we really don’t like going into the main dining room. I’m just concerned because it doesn’t look like the Summit has too many speciality restaurants onboard. Are there enough speciality restaurants to go to for 7 days? thanks
George C Posted January 22, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2023 I didn’t think celebrity offered unlimited specialty restaurants, I am in a high end suite so that’s free for us. Restaurants are Tuscan grill - both steak and pasta Le Petit Chef - very unique dinner with animations- I do this every cruise Sushi at 5. if you can upgrade to a suite you get Luminae the suite restaurants and other perks like the suite lounge with free drinks all day. The royal and penthouse gives you free specialty restaurants and other perks.
jelayne Posted January 22, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2023 The unlimited dining package was discontinued a few years before the pandemic. The M class ships, as mentioned, only have, 3 specialty restaurants. IMO Tuscan is hit or miss ( for us more misses than hits over the past 10 years), Le Petit Chef is okay but a fixed menu and at best the associated show & menu changes 1 time in 7 nights. I can’t eat seafood so have never done Sushi on 5.
George C Posted January 22, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2023 Sushi at 5 is not a set price you are charged with each item you order , we normally spend about 35 each . Love there lobster dumplings.
cruiseforus Posted January 22, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted January 22, 2023 Thanks for all your answers about speciality dining. Appreciate it. I have another question. How is the main dining room on the Summit for breakfast and lunch. Is it usually very crowded?
CaribbeanBound Posted January 23, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 23, 2023 Busy but not "crowded" most days. Sea days would be heavier at lunch.
