matamanoa Posted January 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2023 Do we still need to do a rapid antigen test before flying to Florida to catch a cruise? Barb
Rare *Miss G* Posted January 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2023 No. You just need to carry proof of vaccination in case they ask to see it.
Magicat Posted January 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2023 Today, no. But you will need to upload vaccination documentation to the airline. Maybe show proof at check in. That is of course only if you are not a US citizen.
lx200gps Posted January 27, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2023 Note that it's also possible that some cruises sailing out of the US may sail to destinations that DO require a negative test, so it's best to confirm with your cruise line whether or not a test is required for your particular trip. But as stated above, no test is required to simply enter the US, only proof of vaccination.
Rare CDNPolar Posted January 27, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2023 Yes, check with the cruise line. We required a negative test for a cruise line on December 28th.

RCI, however, simply requires a negative test: Required testing can be completed using any type of PCR or antigen COVID-19 test. It can be professionally proctored at your doctor or drugstore, or it can be a test you administer to yourself at home without supervision. As usually Celebrity gives two different statements Testing Requirements Pre-Arrival Covid-19 Testing All guests ages 2 and older must present a digital or physical copy of a supervised, negative COVID-19 test result at check-in to board their sailing. Guests must present a negative antigen test result taken within 2 days prior to sailing and no more than 2 days before their sailing. Accepted tests are PCR or antigen tests taken in person, supervised virtually, or unsupervised self-administered. Proof of a negative test can be the printed or digital results, a clear photo of your self-test result, or your actual self-test in hand.

That change was just added to bring Celebrity in line with RCI. As you say, keep checking!
