Is the doors on the Joy Magnetic?

So We have cruised so many times, but this time we are cruising with friends who haven never cruised. They would like to put something on there cabin door and was wondering if the doors are magnetic like other ships. Now we have never done this before but would appreciate anyone that would be able to answer. Again going on the JOY.

We sailed last September and while the door was magnetic, it wasn’t as magnetic as the walls. We ended up putting our magnets on the wall next to the door.

If you want to stick magnets on a door, the door would just have to contain iron (or steel, of which iron is a component) for a magnet to adhere to it. The door itself need not be magnetic. 

 

My understanding is that this is pretty standard for contemporary cruise ships.

So no, the door is not magnetic.
