Look for an email (today - Feb 19th) from one's NCL PCC - up to 3 extra points per night booking - Feb 1 to Mar 31, for the Jewel & Spirit sailing Alaksa and Dawn, Gem, Getaway and Star sailing Europe.

Oh Good! The first email wasn't clear on what is considered Alaska or Europe.

Wow.  I hope they won't give out so many points that everyone becomes special.

I am on a 16-day transatlantic with 2 extra points per night, so 48 points for the cruise.  This will take me into Saphire.

We've only sailed on two cruises on NCL (one baltic) and the other was a 12 night Caribbean from NY.  Our last cruise had triple points, so with just the two cruises we made gold (not that that's all that high, but we sail for itinerary not cruise line, so we didn't have status with any line previously).  Unfortunately, they cancelled the ports for environmental reasons that were the reason we chose our last cruise and wouldn't let me reschedule, so NCL will be the least likely line for me to sail again, but maybe I can transfer the loyalty to another line (I think I read some cruise lines will do that? or did in the past?  I didn't expect to hit loyalty for decades so it's fine either way)

But yes I think you are absolutely correct that there will be many people with high levels soon since I always figured it would take me decades to reach any sort of loyalty level.

Back at the restart of cruising in June of 2021, Royal Caribbean was offering as much as 7x points for cruises. It drew a lot of reservations. NCL is trying it out now.

I only heard about that way after-the-fact.  I would have jumped on that had I known about it.  I think all the cruise lines now are just offering 1 point per day, with NCL being the only outlier with their promotions.  If there are other lines offering more than a point per day, they are doing a bad job of letting me know, otherwise I'd be jumping all over them.  Instead, I'm just crusing a ton on NCL this year, should be Ambassador by the end of this year or April of next year.

Ok. So I know I am asking a question that I could very well just call and find out myself, but...

Has anyone noticed the update to the Terms & Conditions under the Past Guest Offer? THREE extra points for select 2023 Alaska and Europe. I am wondering if anyone recalls if if this has been offered in the past and may know what the Promo Code is? Maybe LATTRIPX 🙂

I booked 9 Day Europe: Greek Isles last night that I had been planning in the event that the double point ended as it was scheduled too, but it appears that I may qualify for this if I do a re-price. I want to give my PCC a bit of a break before I bug her again haha. The Idea of getting 36 points seems pretty enticing.

So I just got off a cruise and was given the Booking window dates at 4/1/23 - 5/31/23.  I was a little upset that I had booked my trip the last week of March.  I just looked at my cruise confirmation and it shows LATRIPLE

It appears the book window was extended - good luck to everyone

It also overlaps with the 2 extra points but I doubt you'll get 5 extra points. Earlier they had it as 2022. The links point to the same sailings. Look at the non-US terms: https://www.ncl.com/uk/en/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions-ceuk Typical NCL attention to detail.

If I had to guess, they meant to extend the previous offers which means only specific sailings get the 3 extra points. Of course you never know with NCL.

All this doesn't matter if you actually get what you're supposed to. My 2 extra points dropped off my latest confirmation so I called in and the person was not helpful at all. Their own people are confused. They pointed me to some number which they said was Latitudes. I read the number back to them to confirm I had it down correctly. It was some scam Walmart $100 giftcard number so I hung up. Maybe their other job? I called in again later and got someone who was able to add it back almost immediately. It was an Alaskan cruise but for the Sun so it wasn't triple extra points but who knows if they did it properly. I upgraded my cabin after 4/1.

Maybe someone can shed some light on what the promo is actually supposed to be. If you got triple points booking after 3/31/23, was it for one of those ships/itineraries?

Did you make a change to your cruise that would reprice it as a non latitude cruise?

haha attention to detail.... it never ceases to amaze me how a multi billion dollar, multi national company can have such little attention to detail especially in their terms and conditions. usually those get raked over with a fine tooth comb by the lawyers before they get posted. but not with NCL. They literally don't even honor their own terms sometimes and just point you back to the boiler plate message stating they can be updated or amended at any time. prime example being the cruise next double up on any room. it was supposed to last until the end of May, but out of the blue they updated it on friday when they went to the new promo and finally did away with the 50% off. granted even that is a marketing tactic as I have seen no change in rate for the three cruises I currently have booked.

but back to what you actually posted, yes I can't see them offering 5 points. but one could dream right. I agree that the 3 extra points is likely just on those limited sails as previously advertised and the 2 extra is on all remaining 2023 sailings.

The rates have never actually changed 😄 It's the NEW MATH! By George, I think I finally get it! 😄
Once upon a time, 1 point for sailing, 1 for latitude, 1 for Haven and 1 for 9-mo or further out. Oh, and they had AARP % off, and no FAS.  I see the math for FAS better than I could do on the more affordable lines - in general when adding a drink package.

yeah it is very much their own style of accounting LOL. I try not to buy into the sales gimmick too much and pay more attention to the bottom line cost, but when they offer things like CN double ups or the $250/500 Cruise First, those can result in actual savings. Especially if you can book during an AMEX cashback deal or tack on a casino $$ off or % off offer.

And they had a 10% military that went away around 2010, but thankfully is back.

One regular point, one point for staying in a suite and the three extra promotional points.  5 x 16 = 80

Has anyone called in yet for clarification on the Triple lat points offer? is it still just the Limited Europe, Med & Alaska cruises that they were offering or have they opened up? when you previously searched for qualifying cruises the results were pre-loaded for the specific ships and sail dates as outlined in the terms. now when the search results load it is displaying any cruise that qualifies for the past quest offer and is the same results as the double Lat offer. as Kessdarln already pointed out. I have a 7 day next month which currently has double points and was already considering a straight upgrade from my IA to a Balc. its only about 225ttl, so the points would make the decision a lot easier. I also have a nine day (which will be tricky because of attached flights, but specifically didn't book up tot BA so that I would have room if necessary) and finally a 5 day in November which is of course still outside of final payment and would love to take the extra points on if they qualify. None of them qualified for the Triple Lat points when it was previously run, and without any kind of clarification in the terms it is a a guessing game right now. All three cruises are booked through CAS, which makes it a whole lot of fun to try and do upgrades and re-pricing because of land based certs being attached.

The terms and conditions page has been updated to clarify.  It is the same as previous offer.  Triple points only on limited sailings stated finally in the offer.   I don't understand why it took so long to correct.  However I just read it more carefully.   It also shows the March 31st expiration date, so who knows???
