We were in F305 this past fall. Despite repeated calls to the purser's desk and maintenance along with several in-cabin visits from maintenance and management, we never had hot water in the cabin. Wife and I had to go up to 16 to the spa to shower.

Add to this the fact that the HVAC system just plain didn't work, again, despite numerous visits from maintenance. It was either too warm or (after they came in and replaced the control head) so cold we had to hang hand towels from the register in an attempt to restrict the cold airflow.

A real train wreck. NEVER again despite the aforementioned perks associated with an S7 cabin.

I'm guessing you were on the Caribbean, as we also sailed last October in F305 and experienced climate and water temp issues. Interestingly, our problem was no cold water in either of the sink faucets or the shower (which was too hot to use!). The plumber came by at least twice but it was never completely resolved, just fixed enough to lower the water temp. As for the HVAC, we had the same situation - either too hot or too cold and no control available for us to change. In 20 years of cruising with Princess, this was the first time having these kind of unresolved issues though you always read about others having problems with their cabins. Aside from those two issues, we did love the location and it was fairly easy to head up one floor to the Promenade Deck for some fresh air. Our first time in a Window Suite as the pricing was barely more than a CC Mini. My DW did say afterwards that we will need to have a balcony for all future cruises 😆.

On The Caribbean Princess, they ARE on the Fiesta Deck.  Floor 6.  Not sure what you are trying to share.

Are they on different decks on other ships that have them?  Some folks above talk about the casino bar being "right around the corner", but the casino is a deck above.  ???

Correct, but different ships have different WIndow Suites:

Caribbean Princess:  Fiesta Deck 6

Casino on Deck 7

Crown Grill/Loyalty office/Excursion/Future Cruise on Deck 6

Grand Princess:  Fiesta Deck 6

Casino on Deck 6

Crown Grill/Loyalty office/Excursion/Future Cruise on Deck 7

SOME Royal Class Ships:  Sun Deck 17

Forward / Higher Deck

These are very different than the Window Suites on the Grand Class ships.

(And once removed) Golden Princess:  Fiesta Deck 6

Casino on Deck 7

Crown Grill/Loyalty office/Excursion/Future Cruise on Deck 6

So no, all WIndow Suites are not the same.
