Team Stag Posted February 3, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2023 We are considering an upcoming cruise that visits Roatan. I know Roatan is well know for it's diving but have always thought of it as a destination vs cruise port diving. Our boat doesn't offer any scuba excursions. Does anyone have any recommendations of private companies they have used in the past? Thanks.
Bobroo Posted February 4, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2023 Anthony's Key is a perennial favorite at has had contracts with the cruise lines for years. Also, Anthony's Key has the finest fill station I have ever seen. It really says something about their operation. 1
NavyCruiser Posted February 8, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2023 Our princess cruise offers it for $149 & uses Anthony's Key. Great diving. But guess I'll be hanging out at the free beach with the family this trip...
pete1681 Posted February 10, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2023 Roatan divers! Very good experience
mac66 Posted February 11, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2023 (edited) Just got back from our cruise today. We dived in Roatan on Tuesday with West End Divers. Very good experience. They will pick you up and drop you off at your ship. We used Sun Divers the last time we were in Roatan, they were okay but West End was better. Aquar10scribe Posted July 12, 2023 #6 Share Posted July 12, 2023 We did our initial open water instruction with West End over 10 years ago. We go back every 4 or 5 years and they are awesome!

Aquar10scribe Posted July 12, 2023 #8 Share Posted July 12, 2023 Yes. The last time we went we were at a resort on the south end of Roatan.
ABQrobin Posted August 11, 2023 #9 Share Posted August 11, 2023 Roatan has a lot of good dive ops. But the island is long and skinny, with dive ops all along the coastline, so look at a dive op online, their location, how to get there, and where they dive (usually near their dive op). They aren't going to send a boat to pick you up just to go all the way back to the dive op...too expensive. Plan on a shuttle or taxi. All the reefs are great, so you really can't go wrong. lil93bit Posted January 21 #10 Share Posted January 21 We used ProDive Roatan. A long time ago they were called Quality Time Divers. They personally don't pick you up, but if you schedule with them, they contract with a particular taxi driver to pick you up and drop you off at the cruise port. (Or they used to)
NavyCruiser Posted February 10 #11 Share Posted February 10 Just came back last month on Carnival Jubilee & they used Anthony Keys. Great diving operation, since we've done them many times before. Contact them, maybe they can still pick u up, as probably many other ships in port on same day.
