Another Reason To Arrive Early For Your Cruise

Another reason to arrive early for your cruise is unforeseen delays, I live in Myrtle Beach, SC, and saw the downing of the Weather Balloon.  The airport was closed down for 3 hours which resulted in flight cancellations and delays.

We were flying from Columbus, OH to San Juan, PR with a layover I'm Baltimore.  In Baltimore we were next in line to depart, pulled onto the runway and got diverted.  We couldn't fly through the direct airspace that the military were using and by changing the route, we needed more fuel.

Then due to the route change, our flight crew were going to be scheduled over 8 hours so we had to switch flight crews.  We got delayed for two+ hours and our flight time was extended by 30+ minutes.

To anyone flying that thinks it will all go well.  We had a medical emergency on our plane and it got diverted.  Had trip insurance which eventually paid for an additional connection we paid out of pocket to reach the ship minutes from departure, without any luggage.  Go the day before!

We got free ship shape T shirts and a toothbrush from the ship, lol
