MSC Premium Drinks Package

Travelling on the MSC Virtuosa in July from Southampton and wondering does the Premium Drinks Package apply to all bars and speciality restaurants or are there exeptions. I did notice that there was a champagne bar and the premium package is up to $13 per drink. Do you then pay the difference over this amount.

Yes, the premium drinks package can be used in any bar or restaurant. Because of the €13 limit, the excellent range of wines in the restaurant are by the glass, but waiters respond quickly to top-ups.

Coffee from the urns in the buffet are as awful any other cruise line, but you can ask for an individually made fresh coffee of your choice as part of the package.

The drink package is a good package. It also includes espresso and other coffees if you like after dinner.

Apparently MSC have also updated their stance on drinks over the upper limit, and now you just pay the extra  instead of the whole price.

Hello,

 

On Vitruosa in the summer the upper limit is £14 (fourteen pounds).

 

The PE package cannot be used in 'signature venues'.

Yes it can! We had the PE package on Virtuosa and used it in Butchers Cut with no problem.   The Speciality restaurants do have *some* drinks exclusive to that venue  and you can't order those off the package.

Butchers Cut isn't a 'Signature' venue, just a speciality restaurant...

 

"The following exclusions apply: tobacco, souvenir glasses, ice cream menu, retail items, minibar, room service, promotions and signature venues Venchi 1878 establishments or Jean-Philippe Maury venues, MSC Virtuosa Starship Club, regardless of beverage price. I think, in this context, a 'signature venue' is one that has someone's name above the door.
