BarbieGee Posted February 5, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2023 Are ‘called’ cocktails more pricey as is in a land based bar? example: Margarita vs a Patron Margarita? I assume yes but one should ask and never assume. 😏

Rare sparks1093 Posted February 6, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2023 Yes, but if you have Cheers this is one of the perks- drinking the top of the shelf stuff. My palate does not, unfortunately, appreciate the difference between rotgut and high end but that doesn't keep me from ordering the expensive stuff when I am able. 🙂

Rare EngIceDave Posted February 6, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2023 and they do measure with a jig and I did not see any "heavy pouring" I would watch them make other drinks while I would wait for my beverage.
mz-s Posted February 6, 2023 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2023 yes they are fairly stingy with the premium liquors...if you want a premium drink made strong, you'd want to go on a ship with an Alchemy bar. Sadly Paradise is one of the few ships without an Alchemy for some reason. FWIW they use such a strong mixer with margaritas for example, there is no reason to get premium liquor. Just get the well liquor, it will taste pretty much the same. It's not like Carnival uses the bottom shelf plastic bottle liquor from the liquor store. Their "well" tequila is still pretty good. Rare ibarrio Posted February 6, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 6, 2023 I suspect if you tip the bar tender often the drinks pours will get heavier.

If you have Cheers, though, wait 5 minutes, order a second shot, pour into the drink 😉
