I won't leave on vacation unless ALL my work is caught up. So, I checked cruise critic before I left for the office and then abstained while I was at work. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] It was hard but I made it. My work is done and I still made it to the airport in time. I can't believe that Barry gets all his clothes for a 7 day cruise in one small carry on bag. I guess I'm lucky since his hands will be full with all my bags. But, it is so tempting. I've cruised out of Long Beach cuz then I save on the airfare. But, SWA does fly into Ft. Lauderdale and I do have a friend there that I haven't seen in years. No, I shouldn't even think about it. But, I would need a balcony and I would probably be traveling alone next year. ... how much do you think it would be for a single in a balcony?

I'm just as addicted as you guys to these boards. When my boss sees me at work she doesn't even say anything anymore - she knows I'll get my work done first and then cruise the boards.

It's countdown time less than 48 hours to cruise time. I only live about 30 minutes away from Long Beach, so I can surf for hints up until the last minute. I picked up my friend at the airport today and can you believe he did just as I thought and only brought a small bag for one week on a cruise. Not even as big as a roller bag. He will go shopping tomorrow to pick up some extra clothes. I've been telling him all about this board, but he wont' even check it out. I guess he figures that I spend enough time on the boards to make up for him. LOL I just might get to 500 posts before I leave on the cruise and I just started less than 3 months ago.

Petra, maybe I will see about some needing a roomie one day. I just worry because I am usually up and down all night- never seem to sleep straight through. That's another reason I love a balcony- it's wonderful to sit outside during the night and watch the water and the stars and just stare off into space. Hi Pam,

I'm still here. The cruise doesn't leave until tomorrow. Since I'm only about 30 minutes from Long Beach, we will leave about 9 AM tomorrow morning.

I'm packing so much "just in case we need it stuff". Barry just laughs at me, but the is happy when we actually need something that I packed. LOL I also got Marklodi to send me an E-mail with his word doc of the entire set of cruise reviews that were so fantastic. I told him that I was packing it as a travel guide.

I just can't imagine doing without. And where I am always awake during the night, the balcony is an added bonus. Now I have combined it :reading them while I listen to my type of music on the internet.It seems to slow down my computer a bit though!!
