Anyone back from Little French Key?

Hi,

 

We will be going to Little French Key for the first time in 2 weeks.

I was told by the owner that we did not need to pay ahead or leave a deposit, that we could select our package when we arrive.

If anyone has been recently (or at all) can you answer a couple questions?

 

Our ship docks in Mahogany Bay. From what I understand....

We walk to and exit the port gates, walk down a hill, and find the drivers to Little French Key.

 

Are the drivers wearing Little French Key shirts or Frenchy's 44 shirts? (I saw a recent TripAdvisor review that said drivers wore LittleFrenchKey shirts and were in a van, but owner told me Frenchy's 44 and sounded more like they are a taxi.

 

If we want to see the sloths, how far is it from the dock that takes you to Little French Key and should we do this on the way there or on the way back?

 

Also, how was your day at Little French Key and how long did you stay?

 

We must be back on board by 6:00pm, what time should we leave Little French Key?

we went 2 x a few years ago.  headed back in March. I'm anxious as well to see what is going on there.  I cant for the life of me remember whether they sent transportation or if we just got a taxi on our own.

We were just there in November 2022.

They sent transportation, they were vans.

 

You walk out of the port area, up the big hill, down the other side and the vans for independent operators are on the right.

 

They often use the vans for Frenchy’s but you can just ask.

 

We were some of the first off the ship, we were there about 10:00 and left about 3:00 (we did a little shopping on the way back at the port)

We will be there next week! Did you happen to do the Sloth add on? Wondering if you do it on the way there or on the way back to ship?

We have been several times, although not in the last few years, but they will always have a shirt on that tells you who they are. When we went they had on blue shirts that said Little French Key on them (not sure if they are the same colors now) but if it says Frenchy 44 on it that is fine too. (Same owner and Frenchy's is just the restaurant they own across the water from LFK and where you catch the boat over. 

 

Once you walk over and down the hill, you can ask any of the vendors there where the LFK drivers are and they will tell you.
