I looked it up and read that, that was 2 years ago so I don’t know if that has changed. Edited March 26, 2023 by Wennfred

It seems to be - based on things posted here over the past numbers of months - that the Shareholders credit and the Casino rate rules are not being applied consistently. Based on what I’ve read I will retry and see what happens. It’s only $50 so not in a twist about it.
Rare BlerkOne Posted March 26, 2023 #30 Share Posted March 26, 2023 The more noise casino players make, the more likely the rules will be applied equally and not in favor of the casino player. Do you feel lucky?

I am listed as as the booker of both but I am only guest in one of the bookings. Shareholder credit was asked for in one note but I listed both booking numbers. It surprised me for sure. Well pooh, I got a "no" since the DDs names are not on the stockholder statement. Oh well, I will add their names for our next family cruise this Thanksgiving🤑

Do you feel lucky? Nobody pays rack rates so it wouldn't just be casino players upset if Carnival decided to actually read their shareholder benefit documentation and fairly apply it to all requests. Why do you think they don't? What would be fair is if everyone were eligible for the same casino rates. Then the gamblers might have a legitimate complaint. Indeed it states that "reduced-rate" cruises are excluded - which could even include Early Saver, which is a discounted rate from brochure rates.

It can, and does, include any rate a specific Carnival brand chooses. The benefit is corporate. Who gets is determined on a cruise line basis. Life isn't fair. Oh well.. Rare BlerkOne Posted March 28, 2023 #37 Share Posted March 28, 2023 I don't cruise for shareholder OBC or free cabins or VIFP perks or any of that nonsense. All of that could disappear, and it could be argued that it should. I cruise because I enjoy the simple pleasure of cruising and am happy to pay for it.
