lux4me Posted February 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2023 Sorry to ask and I know this probably has been answered before. Where the ship extends out on the sides are those balconies larger? I am changing cabins and have a choice between 2. 1 mid ship and 1 a bit forward (with what look like the larger verandah) Are they much larger? daetchief Posted February 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2023 (edited) It varies from deck to deck, but generally, the extended balconies are in line with [above] the tenders/lifeboats. As you go higher, the balconies all go back to the default depth. The deck diagrams are accurate and show the differences. And the differences are significant... Lonedaddy Posted February 15, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2023 the extended decks are much larger. If you are on a warm weather journey much more useful. Note on spendor the 10th floor extenion runs in the middle too. Hence PHB 1014 and 17 have a large deck
annapolitan369 Posted February 15, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2023 I agree that if you are on a warm weather cruise, or one where you might spend more time in your stateroom as on an ocean crossing, the extended veranda can be an important element in your enjoyment of the cruise. Or...If you're involuntarily quarantined in your stateroom for a week or two, you'll have a much more spacious balcony to while away the hours on!! 😜 1
