Summer2300 Posted February 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2023 My family and I are travelling on the NCL Bliss next month and we are curious if the Formula 1 practice and qualifying (Friday and Saturday) will be shown on the ship (we disembark on the day of the race). Thank you!
Rare BirdTravels Posted February 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2023 (edited) Unlikely. The sports channel on the ship is an international station focusing on European sports (soccer (football), snooker (pool), table tennis (ping pong)). Thank you! F1 is pretty big around the World. Hopefully you'll be able to catch it
Summer2300 Posted February 16, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted February 16, 2023 Thank you for the quick replies. Given F1s popularity and that it is the start of the season, I really hope that it will be shown.
Summer2300 Posted March 21, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted March 21, 2023 In case anyone was curious, we just returned from our NCL cruise and we were not able to find any bar/venue/television showing the F1 practice or qualifying. But I was able to stream them live on my iPad.
ppcox Posted March 21, 2023 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2023 Thanks for letting us know what to expect.
SeaShark Posted March 21, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2023 So the lesson from this is that if F1 is of importance to you, don't schedule a cruise when you want to view?
MazzyKn Posted March 21, 2023 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2023 Seashark, what is helpful or appropriate about your response? The F1 season runs approximately 8 months of the year, so many cruisers will be hoping for coverage. If not readily available on the ship, an idea for alternative streaming possibilities, would be a helpful response.

jimw Posted March 22, 2023 #11 Share Posted March 22, 2023 On Dawn during the Bahrain weekend 2023. Nada in the room, The Irish pub always seemed to have soccer on. Internet was sooo slow that pictures were rarely seen. The only reference I saw to F1 was on a shore excursion, a bar putting out a sign indicating they would have practice, qualifying, and the race on tv.
