Move Up Bid Amenities - Still Confused

Will be on Apex in April. Would like to know if anyone has successfully bid up from a lower category to Concierge and tell us what Concierge Class amenities you got.

On my Move Up bidding page, it states the following:

  • Personalized concierge service, including exclusive destination seminars
  • Main and specialty restaurant seating time preferences
  • Welcome sparkling wine and fresh fruit, plus daily delectable delights
  • Pillow menu
  • Size: 202 sq. ft. plus 42 sq. ft. veranda
  • Sleeps up to 4

Can someone confirm that you do get the wine and daily delectable delights if you move up from a lower category? And, that you do not get the complementary embarkation day Concierge Class lunch? Basically, asking what Concierge Class things you do not get from a move up bid that you would normally get. I talked to a Certified Vacation Planner and he says you do not get any Concierge Class amenities. Hence, my confusion. Thank you, in advance.

If you win, you get all the concierge class amenities.  The only things that don't come with a move up bid are any drink packages, internet packages, or included gratuities that normally come with that category.  You keep whatever drink package, internet package, or included gratuities you already may have (or not have).

The one other thing you don't get with a move-up bid is the loyalty points.  You earn loyalty points at whatever level of the cabin you originally booked.

Thanks, for the clarification. The CVP said you don't get the any of the amenities because the bid is going to be much lower than what other people originally paid. I can see his point and maybe you don't get all the amenities such as the embarkation lunch.

Your cabin steward will not know you are on a MoveUp bid.  The $10 bottle of wine and a few bits of "delectable snacks" in the afternoon isn't much.

True. So, it's a Trader Joe's Two Buck Chuck wine and undelectable snacks...😂

You get the amenities that come with the cabin.   Perks are the same that you booked on the original booking.    You don’t get any more OBC or the extra CC points. You will have to pay the difference in gratuities.

If you have the all in that includes the Classic beverage package, low internet, and gratuities and move up to any category you will keep that.   Those aren’t upgraded to the premium pack and high speed internet unless you move up to a Royal suite or higher as that is an amenity in those suites.

Concierge is basically a lot of fluff.   Many think that the embarkation lunch is fantastic.  It isn’t worth paying a lot of extra for.   The menu is very limited and service can be rather slow.   We did it a few times as it is also part of doing a B2B.  We had  many more opportunities but chose not to attend.

The in cabin snacks aren’t that great.  We always sail in AQ or a suite and usually don’t bother with them or aren’t there when they are delivered.

The cabins or balcony aren’t any larger.   They are on the M class.

I wouldn’t pay too much extra for it.   You are also in no control of the cabin location.

Thanks, for the info. For sure I need to think if it's worth the extra money.
