Cinderellie Posted February 20, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2023 Visiting St. John on the NCL Getaway on Sunday, March 5th from 9-6. We are 2 seniors with back issues so long walking or climbing or hiking anywhere is a no-go, But we want to see/do some fun things on the island that day. Been to St Thomas before and going again the next day. Other things we should see in St. John? There are limited ship tours left. Nothing historic/museums. Beaches are good. Your advice is appreciated. Mary Ellen
Ms411 Posted February 20, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2023 I don't see any NCL ships docking at St John on March 5, 2023. How are you getting to St John?
Ms411 Posted February 20, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2023 Your ship will be at Antigua on Sunday, March 5, 2023. The capital/port of Antigua is St John's. Yes, it's confusing.😊 There are many beautuful beaches in Antigua, but you should post in that Forum for recommendations. I've never taken transportation from the pier to a beach so unfortunately can't give suggestions.
blue_water Posted February 20, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2023 We can highly recommend a private island tour on Antigua with Lawrence of Antigua. He will tailor the tour to your liking, and include a beach stop for lunch (you pay for lunch). Very reasonable, and a comfortable ride in a nice van. http://www.lawrenceofantigua.com/ Another time we really enjoyed a coastal tour of Antigua from the water on the Excellence, a two-tier catamaran. Great crew, and we’ve never seen water so blue. The motoring through English Harbor was the highlight…That is offered through the cruise line…

Or Take a private tour with a cab from the Despatcher at the port.
