Alaska Land Cruise

Just booked the Majestic Princess for 3 days land and the 7 day cruise.. first couple days in Fairbanks, then to Denali, then to Mt Mckinley. Board at Whittier, then Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay, stopping at Icy Straight Point, Juneau and Ketchikan.

We are looking for "don't miss" excursions & sites along the way. this is our first time to the area and we are looking for some of your favorite highlights!!!

I would do a whale watching excursion in Icy Straight Point for sure.  There are a couple local companies that do small boat whale watching tours.

I would consider ditching the cruise line tour and renting a car for your own trip. There's nothing on a cruisetour that you can't do on your own, often for cheaper. On the cruisetour you have very little time at Denali National Park. And McKinley Princess Lodge is in the middle of no where will very little options.

 

But, your trip. So choose what you want... Just a suggestion.
