Any suggestions on chairs with umbrellas by the large pool? Wanted to get a bed by chill island and they sold out. Need to get some good shade for my wife. My guess is it’s first come first serve and we need to rush there…. Any help appreciated.

We were 2nd ship in - got off late because of morning rain. We still found chairs with shade, but not in front & that was fine.

Also, shade from trees and loungers are plentiful along the beach.at the Harbor inlet near the pier. And it's free.

We were there last week. Two big ships in so around 10k passengers but never had an issue finding a sunbed around the pool. If you havent been before when you get to the entrance of coco kay, follow the path past the water gallon. We went left over the bridge and was long way round to the pool.

If you get off the ship in the first hour or two, you should be able to get chairs and an umbrella around the pool (just not front row after the first hour).  

Plenty of chairs with umbrellas across the road at Breezy Bay, too.

We just head to chill beach and grab loungers with an umbrella under some trees (double covered). No, those are not the beach front row, but we need shade more than an unobstructed view of our other passengers in the water.

There were 2 ships in port when we went, and we were about 1.5 hour late getting off the ship and still got good loungers/umbrellas.

It really will depend on if there are two ships at Cocoa Cay and if your ship departs passengers first. We didn't do chill island, but watched many youtube videos of folks who were departed early and there were ample umbrellas at the pool. We must have an umbrella, and this seems the best advice based upon experience and research.
