rickcherryb Posted February 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2023 I always sail with a passport but my passport had to be fixed and had to be sent to the State Department. it may not be mailed prior to our cruise. Can I sail with a Birth Certificate and State Driver's License without any issues? I called HAL but was given conflicting information. Any help would be appreciated. Rare crewsweeper Posted February 25, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2023 HAL accepts birth certificates as ID for cruising. On Grand Turk, you only need to carry your sign and sail card to get on and off the ship and through the Dufry shop on return. Not asked to show anywhere else. No one asks for passports. Lindancer Posted March 5, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2023 It has to be a "closed loop" cruise - leaving from a US port and returning to a US port. Google this - do not just take someone's word for it, because it depnds what specific cruise you are on.
